Fitting
Proper fittings for children and adults
Every fitting here is carried out by a trained fitter — hats, tall boots and Race Safe body protectors. Walk in on Fridays from 9.30am to 3pm for a try-on and a chat, or book a time and have the room to yourself: appointments that fit around riding, family and work. Children are welcome, there's no rush to decide and fitting is always complimentary.

A hat that actually fits
A hat needs to sit correctly before anything else matters. We measure, look at head shape and how the harness sits and work through sizes, liners and models until the fit is genuinely right.
Only then do we talk about finishes — the part most people start with.
Boot Fitting

Tall boots are measured, not guessed. Calf, height, instep and ankle are taken by hand, and we explain how the boots we stock differ so you can find the one that suits your foot and leg.
Where a standard size isn't right, made-to-measure options may be available depending on the brand.

Try things on
Two or three genuine candidates rather than a wall of options, compared side by side with no pressure to buy.

Sort the details
Liners, harnesses, heights and finishes adjusted on the spot, or a made-to-measure or custom order specified and placed.
Fittings are complimentary and your measurements stay on file for future purchases. A £30 fitting fee applies if you'd like your size information to purchase elsewhere — it covers the fitter's time and expertise.

We stock Race Safe body protectors and air jackets and fit them here. Race Safe is sized to the body rather than to a chart — we check coverage, movement and layering in person and explain the options in plain English.
