The Riding Room is a boutique shop at Forest Oaks, a working competition yard in the New Forest. Hats and boots chosen carefully and fitted by hand — proper fitting, enough time and somewhere to come back to.
The Room
Small by design, serious about fit.
One room within Forest Oaks, a working competition yard in the New Forest: daylight, a mirror, a bench and enough space to walk in a new pair of boots. It's deliberately not a conventional shop — you can park outside, sit down and take your time.
What matters is what happens in it: careful measuring, honest advice and time. Muddy boots, small children and hats bought elsewhere are all entirely welcome.

Book a time that works around riding and family, bring the children and don't feel pushed into a decision on the day.
Somewhere to come back to
If something isn't right afterwards, you have somewhere local and someone you've already met — including for adjustments and repairs.
More service, not a higher price: we price match any authorised online retailer, so the fitting and aftercare cost you nothing extra. A first helmet for a child gets the same attention as a made-to-measure boot.
